Another project with a fantastic foil is the Jumeirah Whats On In London guide. We print this job each quarter, but this issue has a particularly striking Popset Sunshine Yellow cover and a matt white foil which makes the job stand out!

The much anticipated Birnam Brasserie at The Gleneagles Resort opened its doors at the start of this month and it looks fantastic! The replacement for Deseo is a huge improvement and the printed collateral does not disappoint.
Working closely with Ennismore Design in London the team at 21 Colour have delivered a superb range of collateral. With each of the items a mix of litho and letterpress printed on Rives Design, an embossed tactile paper, it epitomises luxury and class.
The team at 21 Colour have just produced a bespoke chocolate box to help celebrate 100 years of The Ivy restaurant in London.
The litho paper-over-board, limited edition, diamond shaped box is filled with freshly made salted caramel and amaretto truffles. The design reflects The Ivy’s iconic, stained glass windows.
It’s the first project we have done for The Ivy and we are delighted to be working in partnership with Caprice holdings.
We have just produced a great little set of cards for the new, up and coming restaurant in London’s Holland Park. Flat Three is a a fusion of Japanese and Nordic inspired food and is being hailed as one of the best restaurants in the area.
The cards are printed with litho and letterpress printing to give notecards, gift cards and business cards that luxurious feel that more and more people are looking for.
Our latest investment at 21 Colour would certainly have turned a few heads in the print industry!
Instead of buying another multi-colour, hi-speed litho press or a new state-of-the-art digital press we opted to go back in time with two ‘old’ Heidelberg presses that we saved from the scrap heap and had reconditioned.
We have a B2 Heidelberg cylinder, that we have converted to foil, and one B3 Heidelberg platen that’s printing letterpress and forme cutting.

The team at 21 Colour are backing Team Europe in the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles starting today. The big events course guides and draw sheet information was printed last night and delivered to the course at 5am this morning and will be printed again tonight and Saturday night to ensure that the spectators have all of the essential information when they are at the event. Trevor Price Managing Director said ‘It’s the biggest Golf Tournament in the world and we are delighted to be working with such a prestigious event, we have had the pleasure of working on each of the last four Ryder Cups that have been held in Europe and to be involved when it is taking place at Gleneagles is obviously pretty special’.
This week saw the arrival of a new digital press at the 21 Colour factory in Glasgow. The Kodak Nexpress will be operational by the end of the month and adds to the existing Igen 4 in the digital print department. Philip Cole, Sales Director said ‘The investment in our new digital press is critical to the growth of the company, we took a long time to make the decision to go with the Kodak Nexpress. We undertook a thorough testing programme with all of the main digital providers and it became an obvious choice in the end to go with the Nexpress. The main benefits for 21 Colour and our customers is the quality of the print, the flexibility in terms of the paper stocks and the real USP is the large sheet attachment which means we can print a sheet 914mm long’.
21 Colour are delighted to have won a place of the APUC Print Framework. The APUC are the associated framework for procurement for colleges in Scotland. Account Manager Eddie MacGilp who has worked on the tender project said ‘We are delighted to win a place of the framework, 21 Colour already deal with a large number of educational establishments across Scotland producing marketing collateral,prospectus’s graduation brochures ect along with educational journals. Our experience in this sector will only help us build relationships with the new institutions who we have not traded with previously’ the framework commences on the 12th August and will run for 2 years with the option to extend by a further two years.
